January 2nd, 2012

My last post of 2011 was from a gorgeous wedding, so I decided my first post of 2012 would be this cute little girl. I met Lily and her family a few months ago when we did a portrait session at their home. It was a gorgeous day and I loved to work with them an capture a small slice of their life.

I did say she was cute, didn’t I?                                       Andrea Taylor Studio | Lifestyle Children Photography

Leah and Stephen are married! | A Peachtree Club Wedding

December 31st, 2011

To end the year I am posting this absolutely fabulous wedding from 9.10.11

Leah and Stephen got married at an uber cool event designed and coordinated by the talented Michelle Gainey from Lemiga Events. If you have ever been to the Peachtree Club’s gorgeous terrace you will immediately recognize what a fantastic job Michelle did at transforming the place.

The bride got ready at the Loews Hotel just a block away.Andrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Wedding PhotographerAndrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Welcome Jackson | An Atlanta Newborn Photography Session

December 30th, 2011

So here I am again, continuing my post frenzy… catching up with my poor neglected blog! And what a treat to show you this handsome little man. I photographed Jackson back in September and I have to say it was love at first sight. Not only he is adorable, but his parents and grandma were absolutely a pleasure to work with and I immediately felt a great connection with them and a total ease.

Words will never do this boy justice, so let the images speak for themselves.Andrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Newborn PhotographyAndrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Newborn PhotographyAndrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Newborn Photography

The photo below is not a glamorous one but I just had to post it. Little Jackson decided he needed to go… and go he did right when dad was holding him          for his photos. It was a mad rush to get towels and clean up, but the funniest part was how happy mom was that she did not get "picked for the treat"!Andrea Taylor Studio | Atlanta Newborn Photography

Emily and Andrew are married! | An Amelia island plantation wedding

December 28th, 2011

Emily and Andrew got married late this summer at the gorgeous Amelia Island. Emily is originally from there so this was a meaningful place for her. They are a very laid back couple and they wanted an event that truly represented who they are and what they like, so they decided to have their wedding at Emily’s family church and a simple brunch reception at the gorgeous Walker’s Landing by the marsh.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon…0001_Baker0009_Baker0300_Baker

And the weekend festivities begun early on Friday with a Bridesmaid’s Luncheon at the home of a family friend.0027_Baker0277_Baker0057_Baker0066_Baker0168_Baker0189_Baker0192_Baker0197_Baker0237_Baker0259_Baker0286_Baker

Amanda + Mark are married | Atlanta Country Club

November 3rd, 2011

It was a gorgeous late summer day when Amanda and Mark said their vows at the beautiful Atlanta Country Club. You could feel the support they had from everyone around them and the love they have for each other present in those rooms. It was overall a wonderful day and as always, we felt blessed to have been invited to capture these memories.

Family Photography Session

October 14th, 2011

I love babies, kids and family sessions. They are always fun and keep me on my toes! This was the first session of a set of 4 from my Footprints Package.

Spencer was 4 month sold and Spencer 3 when we did this in the Summer. The new session is coming up in just a few days and I know it will be lots of fun again… especially with babies, it gets more and more fun as they grow up. Then they start walking fast and I need my running shoes, but that is a different story.

Here are some images from the first session.

I love Spencer’s serious look…Atlanta Children PhotographyAtlanta Children Photography

A Cumberland Island Engagement Session | Part II

October 9th, 2011

A few days ago I posted Part I of this wonderful Engagement Session experience. That was what we did on the first day. The next day, we got up before the sun was out and headed over to the beach that is closer to High Point, the family compound. It was so gorgeous there as the sun started coming out, the large beach calm, quiet, the beautiful light…

After the beach we headed over to the First African Baptist Church, also on the northern end of the island. The famous place where John F. Kennedy Jr. married Carolyn Bessette there in 1996, the current structure was built in 1937 to replace the original 1893 church that was used by former slaves from the High Point-Half Moon Bluff community. The church is built of whitewashed logs and adorned with a cross made of sticks and a few handmade pews.Cumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor StudioCumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor StudioCumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor StudioCumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor StudioCumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor Studio

Afterwards, we headed back to the compound. I had to stop on the way to get a shot on the road with those gorgeous live oaks with lots of Spanish moss…Cumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor Studio

Back at High Point I could not resist asking Sam & Sarah to climb up one of the beautiful live oak trees in the property… Cumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor StudioCumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor Studio

I love this final shot on the tree…Cumberland Island Engagement Photography | Andrea Taylor Studio

Thanks again Sarah and Sam!!! It was wonderful to work together and to experience Cumberland Island in such a special way. Rich and I both look forward to a fabulous wedding day in just a few months!
